There is beauty in simplicity. In this piece, there are three C-shapes, put together using joints, there are no glues, no fancy art-tricks. The shape together forms a almost-spherical shapes.

Medium: Wax
Novelty is an artist's friend. As an art student, I started out like every other students--spoiling myself working with my familiar technique over and over again, fancy myself an seasoned artist. But I was fortunate to find out early that the practice kept me in my comfort zone, and therefore, stagnanted my growth. I experienced hand-on casting for the first time in Fall Semester of 2020 with Lost-Metal Casting. This medium brought me out of my usualy digital working zone. I learnt to make my own homemade tools. I also learnt to work with the wax--a new material--and I learnt to allow mistake to stay on the wax pattern while working with the mistake to produce something truly organic instead of artifical.
Medium: Digital Painting, Procreate
An independent project I took on during winter break. I tried to study character design and shading. I learnt that the most effective character design can tell the character's story from their choice(s) of clothing, posture, movement, accessories. Aakocra is a humanoid bird folks in Dungeons and Dragons. Aakocras, as a race, tend to like peace, live mainly in moutainous area; they prefer to spend all their time flying in the air and avoid conflict all together. I find these creatures very interesting--their flying ability and way-of-life fascinate me.
